Kaiima Agro-Biotech Ltd. is an Israel-based Bio-Agritech startup company that dramatically increases crop productivity by using its breakthrough EPTM technology.
Our goal is to provide substantial value for sustainable development in Renewable Energy, High-Impact Food, and the Environment.
EPTM is applied by multiplying the plant’s genome without damaging its DNA – it is rapid and its products are not transgenic. It results in:
- Greater biomass accumulation per unit time
- Increased concentration of metabolites
- Higher yield potential
- Higher water-use efficiency
- Enhanced photosynthesis
- Improved adaptability to extreme climates
- Improved resistance to osmotic stress: dryness and salinity
EPTM has been successfully demonstrated in more than 30 different plant varieties. We are currently concentrating our efforts in projects to multiply castor, corn, rapeseed, rice and wheat.
Our High-Yield Castor product is commercially available with more than double the oil yield of leading castor varieties per hectare.
Founded in 2006, Kaiima is backed by elite venture funds Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and DFJ-Tamir Fishman. Its offices are located in the beautiful Galilee in northern Israel.
